CHW has released a new story map calling attention to excavations at The “Red Cross” Church of Bina/Tumi. Using an array of satellite platforms, CHW was able to narrow the window for these excavations to the span of just a few weeks in January 2024, refining the impact window from RAA’s original alert in March 2025. Based on this new impact window, CHW concludes that the excavations were illicit and pose a real threat to the preservation of this historic 11th century Armenian church.
